MSP and Reston Practical Performance / East Granby, CT / June 30-July 1, 2026 / Hartford Gun Club

This is a single SPECIAL class offered in 2026 with Jared Reston and Jedi.

Day 1
Day one focuses on establishing the essential foundations of performance shooting and defensive pistol work. Students begin by zeroing their red dot optic to ensure proper point-of-aim and point-of-impact alignment. From there, they work on dot tracking, exploring how grip, sight control, and trigger manipulation change based on target size, difficulty, and distance. Speed is another major component of the day, with emphasis on developing an efficient draw and presentation from both concealed and open setups. Participants also learn to apply only the amount of visual information necessary to make an acceptably accurate shot for the scenario at hand. The day concludes with dedicated work on understanding and applying red dot techniques at close distances.

Day 2
Day two builds on the previous day’s fundamentals and transitions students into more advanced performance and decision-making skills. Students will focus on producing accuracy on demand, applying their fundamentals under increasing pressure. Multiple-threat and target-transition concepts are introduced, along with deeper exploration of speed considerations and how to balance pace with precision. The day finishes with drills that incorporate movement, teaching shooters how to stay accurate and controlled while working dynamically around the range.
